Supported Layout File Formats
Many other editor work with an own property file format and standard formats can only be created with a special import or export feature. The LayoutEditor did not need such a complex procedure. It works natively with the format standard GDSII. Other similar format can be loaded directly as well. The most important formats are:
All these file formats cannot store a layer setup and that may be a disadvantage to some property file formats. To avoid that the LayoutEditor supports a Bundle format where the design with layer setup will be save in two files, but with opening the layer setup macro the GDSII design will be loaded as well.
